If you don't have a bread machine, this is the easiest yeast dough recipe by far. There is no overbearing yeast flavor and it is a good dense bread. ~ Bokenpop aka Madeleine, Food.com
Food Problems 172: No bread in the house to make the french toast that you really want. Solution: You make homemade bread.
This was a really quick bread to make, took around an hour and a half (which for bread is pretty quick). Preparing the dough took less than ten minutes and the rising of the bread took around fifty minutes (give or take), plus the forty - fifty minutes to bake.
This bread came out wayy better than the other bread recipes I've tried and was perfect for making french toast... But eating the bread plain you find that it has a funny taste, which I'm pretty sure is because of the oil in this bread so next time I make this recipe I want to try substituting it with butter to see how that goes.
MY OVERALL RATING:
DIFFICULTY || EASY
I will definitely be using this recipe again, hopefully substituting the oil with butter will work and taste better. But as of now, this is the best bread recipe I've found.
