"When you don't have all day to make refried beans and you can't stand the canned ones, these are easy and delicious." ~ MarasFlourpower
My mum had decided she wanted to make Mexican pizzas for dinner but we didn't have any re-fried beans, you know the canned ones, and my pa was at work. Ma was just like fine we'll make it another time but I had joined on the bandwagon and wanted her to make Mexican pizzas too, so I asked her if we had pinto beans. Long story short we did have pinto beans and I was stubborn and decided to make the re-fried beans myself.
After looking at a bunch of really complicated and time consuming recipes I came across this one. This recipe is a 7 ingredient recipe, which two of them aren't really needed unless you want to put it in your beans, that would be the lime juice and salt. I made the beans and added the salt and lime after doing everything else and it tasted no different to me. So, yeah, this is a good recipe the only thing I added was Adobo, because I put Adobo in everything haha (you don't have to do this of course).
P.s. the recipe doesn't specify it but just a heads up-when opening the can of pinto beans don't drain the liquid, you need it! You dump the whole can into that pot.
MY OVERALL RATING:
DIFFICULTY || EASY
This recipe is super easy and takes less than 10 minutes to make. It was good and tasted way better than canned re-fried beans and worked perfectly for our Mexican pizzas.
