MY NOVEL THOUGHTS:
Hey y'all, so this blog post won't be set up properly for two reasons - one I'm hugh on pain meds because I have a toothache and went to the ER yesterday and two my laptop pooped out. So until I get that situation fixed my reviews will be done on my phone... Like this. But don't worry we will still have lots of fun together!
So, Dragon Seed is about a disrespectlful teen who acts like the world owes him something. He finds out family secrets and then discovers his place in all of that... Or so they tell me.
I don't want to sound mean but there is no other way for me to say it - I did not like this book. Which is extreamly sad to me because I wanted to love it. I read up to the third chapter and just couldn't finish it. Everytime I'd go back to read the book I'd get stuck on the fourth chapter each time. I think my main problem was how unrealistic to me the Nick was. I don't know maybe because I'm still considered a teenager or the fact that my parents had no problem disciplining us, but I can't see a kid acting the way he does to his mother and not getting slaped for it. No. My parents were not abusive they just didn't take mine and my brothers and sisters crap. So to me it's just unrealistic. I also am not a fan of the writing style used in this book. I don't like it. I'm sorry.
